We are looking for a practical grounds maintenance operative to care for landscaped areas at residential developments and commercial properties. The role combines routine horticultural work with the judgement to spot defects and keep every visit productive.
You will represent Bloc FM on site, follow seasonal schedules and leave grounds tidy, safe and ready for residents and visitors.
What you'll do
- Carry out grass cutting, edging, hedge trimming, pruning and seasonal maintenance.
- Maintain beds, shrubs and planted areas, including weeding and leaf clearance.
- Complete litter picking and keep pathways and external communal areas tidy.
- Use powered grounds equipment safely and complete routine equipment checks.
- Identify damaged planting, trip hazards, drainage issues and other site defects.
- Provide clear visit records and photographs through our mobile job system.
What we're looking for
- Relevant grounds maintenance, gardening or landscaping experience.
- Confidence using mowers, strimmers, hedge cutters and hand tools.
- A full UK driving licence and ability to travel between sites.
- Good knowledge of safe working practices and appropriate PPE.
- Reliable, organised and comfortable working outdoors throughout the year.
- For subcontractors: UTR, public liability insurance and suitable equipment.
