Bloc FM is recruiting a capable drainage operative to deliver planned cleaning, reactive unblocking and investigation work at managed properties. You will work methodically, protect occupied sites and provide evidence that helps clients make the right repair decision.
We need someone who understands drainage equipment, communicates clearly and treats reporting and site cleanliness as part of the job—not an afterthought.
What you'll do
- Clear blocked foul and surface-water systems using appropriate mechanical and jetting equipment.
- Complete planned drain cleaning, gully clearance and preventative maintenance visits.
- Undertake CCTV surveys and provide clear observations, footage and recommendations.
- Lift and replace covers safely, protect work areas and maintain good hygiene controls.
- Identify defects requiring excavation, lining, specialist repair or further investigation.
- Record attendance details, before-and-after evidence and accurate completion notes.
What we're looking for
- Practical drainage, jetting or CCTV-survey experience.
- A full UK driving licence and ability to cover jobs across London.
- Knowledge of safe jetting, confined-space boundaries and contamination controls.
- Professional communication and a considerate approach at occupied properties.
- Ability to maintain equipment and keep a well-organised work vehicle.
- For subcontractors: UTR, public liability insurance and relevant training evidence.
